Recently, 6 of our staff took first aid training and refresher training from Manchester Medical Services.  They learnt a wide variety of skills, were taught how to deal with general every day accidents and given techniques that could end up saving lives.

Jo, Sam, Aaron, Gill, Josh and Phil learnt how to resuscitate someone who has stopped breathing, and they were given exercises in using defibrillators and medical oxygen.

Our future heroes now know how to properly identify medical ailments such as diabetes and know the best course of action to take should anything occur.

The qualification is valid for 1 year before they need to take the course again. Until then, it’s good to know that next time you are visiting us you are in very safe hands!

Manchester Medical Service are Manchester’s No. 1 medical service, they provide a range of assistance from patient transfer to staff transportation. They also offer Film & TV medical provision, where they have visited Coronation Street, they do event coverage and of course First Aid Training on request.
