We have recently released a new updated version of the St John Cycle Pannier onto our website.
This fresh design features brand now features with the same great functionality and durability. Like the previous design before it, it is made from micrAgard PLUS, which is the material exclusive to Openhouse. micrAgard PLUS is anti-microbial, wipe-clean and water repellent. These features are well suited to the cycle panniers for outdoor use in a medical situation. In addition to this, the pannier fastens via hook and loop which is also treated to ensure maximum protection against infection. micrAgard PLUS is also heavy duty and hardwearing, which is essential for outdoor use.
Matching the previous design, the pannier features welded logos for St John Ambulance but in addition to these there are now welded on strips along the lid, reading; “Ambulance”, and “Cycle Response Unit.” These replace the previous heat transfer reflective print. There is also a additional red reflective chevron, in addition to a . These properties all combine to how well the pannier will be visible in the dark, adding to the safety of riding to emergency incidents in the dark.[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”26529,26530,26531,26532,26533,26534″ img_size=”full”] Inside the pannier there are two internal grab bags that have their own set of pouches. The grab bags have colour indicators sewn on the top so they’re visible as you open the pannier, and each grab bag has zip lock sliders compatible with our tamper proof seals. These grab bags have not changed from the previous pannier.
Internal Grab Bag A: Left side, Red Indicator;
This Grab Bag contains a blue, green, red and black pouch with a matching red indicator on each so when restocking the pannier, you know they belong in this grab bag. The pouches have clear lids so you can easily identify the equipment inside.
Grab Bag B; Right side, Yellow Indicator;
This Grab Bag contains three green pouches, one fluorescent yellow pouch and a tool roll. The green pouches make use of the clear lid to see your equipment when you need it. The yellow pouch has the St John Ambulance logo printed on the lid and has elasticated loops inside to keep more fragile equipment secure when riding to an emergency. The tool roll also has loops suited for ampoules, and additional pockets sewn in.
Lying on top of the Grab Bags, you will find a Portfolio which can be used to store documents such as checklists or even smaller pieces of equipment. Whilst the pannier does have a dedicated map compartment, the Portfoilo can also hold additional maps.[vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”26535,26536,26537,26538,26539,26540,26541,26542″ img_size=”full”]
